Client Problem

Client had been using multiple planning softwares across NA, EMEA, and APAC. The goal was to implement an IBP single solution in coordination with an S/4 implementation.

SCMC Solution

SCMC provided a 2 phased IBP solution: 

• Phase 1: Demand Planning models the entirety of the Demand process in IBP for all regions including sales inputs. 

• Phase 2: Supply Planning utilized the unconstrained heuristic and supply optimizer to offer a single supply plan and daily updates. 

The project enabled planning for the entire client network into a single source for all planners, enabled “what-if” scenario planning, and provided in depth financial reporting & analytics 

Results

IBP served as a full replacement of APO for Demand Planning & Supply Planning across all of client’s business units.
