Client's planning organization lacked efficient planning processes and tools to support significant, sustainable growth.

SCM Connections recommended an SIOP Process while following planning best practices, as well as tool support and development to prepare the organization to adopt the planning tool SAP IBP. SCMC recommended updates to the organizational structure of client’s planning team to change from channel ownership to category ownership.
Results
Client now can manage their S&OP processes within one integrated tool, and has the ability to review their demand forecast against the statistical forecast. Client also stands to benefit from significant time savings in the S&OP process due to the supply planning being completed integrated within SAP IBP, as it had previously taken much longer to manually refresh the supply planning data.
