Client Problem
Client was seeking IBP as a better solution to help manage their supply chain and assist in dealing with rapid company growth and expansion. The S&OP IBP module was the desired route. Along with IBP S&OP, S/4 HANA integration was needed for Master and Transactional Data.
SCMC Solution
SCMC recommended starting off by setting up a formal S&OP process. The S&OP process design happened with a slight overlap with the simultaneous IBP implementation. SCMC implemented the SCM Planning Accelerator Resource Kit (SPARK) for the S&OP IBP module and integrated the system with data from the S/4 HANA system using CPI-DS. Both solutions were implemented over a 4-month period which included user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Results
Client now has a foundation for Demand Planning as well as the ability to create Unconstrained Supply Plans. These new abilities are bolstered by a new S&OP process that increased visibility and communication.
