Client Problem

Client implemented IBP Supply optimizer but needed additional tuning and user support to refine the solution.

SCMC Solution

Implemented telescoping time profiles to expedite the optimizer run time for long-term planning and conducted full regression testing after the IBP 2005 upgrade. SCM Connections also worked with SAP to identify a coding issue with Maximum and Minimum Aggregate Production Capacity Usage key figures in split weeks, resulting in a subsequent IBP hot fix.

Results

Improved user confidence with the ability to determine more accurate sourcing rations between customer regions and distribution locations while considering the capacities resources, transport modes, etc.
